Jesus Christ Superstar -- Re-Inventing Faith
From The Passion of the Christ to a high-tech Broadway revival of JC Superstar, and from The DaVinci Code to The Book of Judas, the story of Jesus’ final days has been dominating recent conversations and writings about contemporary culture. Now ZACH enters the dialogue with a fresh re-invention of this popular rock opera inspired by a photography book of rural home altars throughout Mexico. These private shrines have profound personal and familial meaning, linking ancient traditions with modern customs. Likewise, ZACH’s production will synthesize ancient and modern images with traditional and current Mexican musical styles to illuminate new personal truths and discoveries for everyone who call Central Texas home.
